Our Experience
If you’re like us, you’ve probably had your fair share of energy drinks or caffeinated pre workouts and fat burners. So Oxyshred RTDs aren’t exactly anything new.
Although the coffee content of Oxyshred is quite high compared to some energy drinks, such as the modest 30mg in a Red Bull, we didn’t experience the “crash” often associated with some energy drinks. That was a pleasant surprise!
However, unlike the original Oxyshred powder, we did find the Ultra Energy RTDs to be quite sweet. The Kiwi Strawberry for example. It was super sweet, almost too sweet, and that’s coming from someone with a pretty crazy sweet tooth. As with anything thought, this may just be a personal preference.
The carbonated version of Oxyshred was definitely a nice change though. And when we used it as a pre workout we found the energy hit to be quite quick and had quite a good lifting session.
Available Flavours
At the time of writing this, Oxyshred RTDs are available in 4 different flavours. However, with how many flavours of the original Oxyshred are available, it wouldn’t surprise us to see at least another 3 or 4 flavours released at some point.
The current flavour lineup includes:
- Passionfruit
- Guava Paradise
- Kiwi Strawberry
- Peach Candy Rings
- Pina Colada
We’ve currently tried all of them except for the Pina Colada and can definitely say that the passionfruit is our top pick. It kind of reminded us of the old school Passiona soft drink.
We found the kiwi strawberry to be a bit sweet and taste a little too artificial, though that’s likely going to differ from person to person. So we’d recommend giving each a go to see what suits you.
